Peugeot has confirmed that the 5008 SUV and the 408 will both have fully electric versions available later in the year.
During a recent event called ‘brand day’ held by the company, Peugeot announced that they will be introducing fully electric versions of their hybrid e-408 and e-5008 cars. They were hoping to see the exciting spectacle of 306 GTIs performing impressive oversteering maneuvers around a group of lions.
To put it simply, there isn’t much information available about the new all-electric executive saloon and seven-seater SUV. According to Peugeot, the e-5008 will be released in August, followed by the e-408 in September. With the addition of these two models, Peugeot now has a total of 12 cars that are exclusively powered by batteries.
The company has expanded its offerings to include a package called Allure Care for the e-3008, which puts it in competition with Hyundai. This package offers an extended warranty for up to 99,400 miles (100,000kms) on the electric motor, charger, and powertrain. It also complements the existing eight-year battery warranty provided.
